If a shipment is lost or damaged in transit, you're protected with standard coverage of up to INR 5,000 or 50% of the invoice value, whichever is lower, at no extra cost. For high-value shipments, you can purchase extended insurance covering up to INR 10,00,000 in indemnity against loss or damage. Insurance fees are based on the item's declared value.
